ICC Note:   Leaders of many Christian organizations in Nigeria have come out in support of the government’s decision to declare a state of emergency in three of the country’s northern states. Borno, Adamawa and Yobe have been some of the hardest hit states by the Islamic extremist group Boko Haram. Many Christians living in these areas live in a constant state of terror because the group targets the religious minority for some of its most brutal attacks. Will the Nigerian government’s new offensive against Boko Haram help bring security to the country’s northern states? Will Christians be able to live and worship in peace? Only time will tell.    [Full Story]   Christians in Nigeria Support Government’s New Offensive Against Boko Haram
